Maintaining business as usual during a major refurbishment
The challenge
We were hired by Invesco to carry out the refurbishment and extensions of its Invesco Perpetual Campus, based in Henley-on-Thames. For this investment management company, trading ‘downtime’ was not an option. Our imperative task was to run a smooth, efficient refurbishment that caused minimal disruption.
The approach
The refurbishment would cover seven floors - encompassing meeting suites, breakout areas, restaurant and a broadcast studio. The premises extension included a gym and well-being facilities, plus on-site car and cycle parking. All to be built while maintaining business as usual. No mean feat!
Over the course of 28 months, collaboration between the project manager, Invesco’s brand concept designers (RAW), the facilites management team and project sponsors was essential to deliver such a large-scale project in a challenging environment.
TTSP focused on a long list of client deliverables - including acoustic privacy and security upgrades - RAW led the renewal and update of corporate branding. This formed a significant part of the re-design of the campus.
The result
Invesco’s refurbishment is a highperformance integrated workplace, configured to support evolutionary change. The project was completed on budget and, impressively, slightly ahead of schedule.
