An ambitious refit to allow business to thrive
The challenge
We were commissioned to transform this 2,700m² commercial space for the Spanish bank, BBVA. This space, on level 44 of 1 Canada Square in Canary Wharf, would be the bank’s new London Headquarters and administrative hub for Europe.
The approach
Our ambition was to ensure that the interior design of this space was an accurate reflection of BBVA’s worldwide design and occupancy standards - all adapted to suit local London conditions. To achieve this, we worked closely with BBVA’s local and Madrid-based design and facilities teams.
The fit-out from shell and core included a 100-position trading area with an associated communication room, AV-equipped boardroom and meeting rooms, a kitchen, a staff breakout area, plus open-plan executive and office support areas.
The results
The reworked office has been executed with a consistency of finish and specification that reflects the quality of the BBVA brand, whilst acting as a functional space that enables
business to thrive.
